    Detailed Itinerary:

    • Plaza de Armas We begin our tour at the iconic Plaza de Armas, the heart of Cusco. Here, you will admire the impressive colonial architecture and visit the Cathedral of Cusco and the Church of the Society of Jesus. We will stroll along Loreto and Cusicancha streets, where you will appreciate the ancient Inca walls that still support many of the colonial structures.
    • Koricancha - The Temple of the Sun Our next destination is the magnificent Koricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. This sacred place was the religious and geographical center of the Inca Empire. Upon entering, you will be able to contemplate the impressive combination of Inca and colonial architecture, while learning about the deep spirituality and ceremonies dedicated to Inti, the sun god.
    • Sacsayhuaman Next, we head northwest of the city to visit the imposing fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Famous for its gigantic cyclopean stones assembled with astonishing precision, this fortress offers spectacular panoramic views of Cusco. We will explore its mysterious chincanas (tunnels) and the Temple of Water, where Inca hydraulic engineering is impressively manifested.
    • Qenqo Our next stop is Qenqo, an archaeological site dedicated to astronomical observation and mummification during Inca times. This site, also known as Patallaqta, houses a labyrinth of tunnels and an altar carved into the rock, used in religious rituals.
    • Puca Pucara We continue on to Puca Pucara, a red fortress that served as a checkpoint and lodging for travelers on the Inca trail to Cusco or Machu Picchu. The views from here are breathtaking, and your guide will explain the strategic and logistical importance of this site during the Inca Empire.
    • Tambomachay Finally, we visit Tambomachay, known as the Temple of Water. This site is famous for its sophisticated hydraulic system and its crystal clear water channels that flow continuously. Tambomachay was a place of worship dedicated to water and fertility, and its engineering design continues to amaze visitors today.
